The Brazilian star Offers Regret to Los Blancos Fans

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to supporters for his response when taken off in Sunday's fiery El Clasico win.

He was substituted in the 72nd min and showed his disappointment by heading directly to the dressing room.

The Brazilian eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, following his team's 2-1 win, attempted to approach Barcelona's youngster Yamal during contentious post-match incidents.

"Today I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my response when I was taken off in the Clasico," Vinicius shared on X.

"Similarly to I have already done during the latest session, I also want to say sorry once more to my team-mates, the team, and the leadership.

"At times passion takes over me because I always want to triumph and assist my club. My competitive character comes from the love I have for this institution and everything it symbolizes."

Vinicius joined Real from Flamengo in recent years for millions and has notched over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.

But his career in the La Liga is unclear with reports in recent months indicating that the club would consider permitting the young star depart if they obtained a good proposal.

When the winger was substituted on Sunday, cameras from broadcaster the platform recorded him saying: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I leave, I'm going."

In his latest message on X, the athlete commented: "I promise to keep striving at all times for the welfare of Los Blancos, as I have done since the very beginning."
